AI FinOps: when an architecture decision becomes a budget decision

Microsoft is billing more and more Copilot scenarios through consumption-based credits instead of covering them with the flat M365 licence: Copilot Studio agents, triggered agent flows, Copilot Cowork, custom agents reaching M365 data through Work IQ. A per-seat licence can be planned. Consumption cannot. What an agent costs per month depends on how often it runs, what it accesses and through which channel it is addressed. Enterprise AI needs an operating model, not just a licence.
